The enthusiasm and the great efforts made this project a wonderful success with patience and loads of cooperation. So many have shared in the joy and anticipation of these Bikes, PCs and Laptop being shipped to Africa to find a new home and new purpose. Perhaps such a sense of deep satisfaication and achievement can be best shown in the smiles of all the friends, families and of the individuals who shared in this group effort.
The very positive public response to this project says volumes for what is possible to increase the good for others in the world, an espeically good fortune for those in South Africa.
Even on days of cold weather conditions, working around snow storms many shared in all that is right about making a difference despite the winter and spring weather conditions! Collecting, organizing and packing these goods also gave opportunties for all involved to dream big and imagine what profound joys and ease of life will be created with such good efforts!

It's all about giving
In the past several months friends of Hilltop in Switzerland have made possible a support project linked to Hilltop. Friends and organizers have collected Bicycles, PC's and Laptop Computers. The project went public when two bike shops advertized and two journalists published the action in three big newspapers in Switzerland. Velafrica supported the team with advice and there became the creation of a very exciting community effort! Enomous planning, meticious organization and preparation has taken place with collection points, sorting, de-mounting pedals, checking PC's, the packing and loading involving forward thinking and lots of time to get the shipment just right.
Two enterprises for bike repair, one with disadvantaged people supported the project and team. The shipping company Optimo provided free professional quality packing materials.
Hunderds of people brought their bikes, computers and laptops for donation which will in the Eastern Cape be recieved by beneficaries in the rural areas and townships in order to enrich their lives with bicycles being an inexpensive source of transportation and computers for educational purposes and enhancement of skills training, knowledge and professional expertise.
A large task lies heads and in the Hilltop Team with the challanges of unpacking and training people as bike mechanics and organizing the meaninful distribution of the PC's and Laptops! The shipment is scheduled to arrive at the end of May!
Many thanks to all the very kind and caring people in Switzerland who have contributed to this valuable life changing project, honouring and assisting underpprivilaged people and a number of communites in South Africa.
