Kwaza Primary School, Warmly Welcomes Mariam Orosz
It is a real benefit to the school to have a qualified teacher volunteering her time to be at the school daily, as a support to the princial and the other teachers, as needs arise and also to share teaching techinuques and methods an exchange from both countries.
Kwaza Primary School has had a volunteer programme on going with young adults from Germany for several years and the benefical rewards for the volunteer and the school are mutual, as it is bringing more learning and education into the hearts and minds of the learners and all those considered with education and this German South African connection.
Many thanks to Mariam and to the children and families of Dimbaza Township for so warmly allowing Mariam to feel so at home in the community and at the school!

Our very proud sudents take their skills and knowledge back home!
IT Technology, Computer Literacy, Excel Accounting, Internet training and Pastel Accounting was offered on Saturdays. English training was a subject that met great results with lots of practice and oral presentations which where filmed and played back to the group. Everone acquired typing skills and some well beyond a beginners level. Land at Hilltop for a Market Garden was provided where the students erected a fence and planted hundreds of seedlings, within the six months we were all able to see the results of their consistant work in the garden which produce beautiful vegtables some of which were sold and others used here at the farm. Egg laying chickens were also cared for by the group and the benefits of having fresh eggs daily was encouraging.
The commitment of our five trainers was the foundation of which through termendous effort and care for the success of the students, created a solid platform for remarkable achievements for all the students which everyone is so proud of. It is with a termendous amount of energy and long hours that produced high test scores and truely unbelievable achievements within the group.
Congratulations to our students who had the deep desire and courage to take a chance and leave Platfontein for six months and take the challange to be at Hilltop and make a success of it.
We are grateful to our trainers holding enornous patience to advance the Platfonteiners to such a high level. Now the students are back home and the real work begins taking their skills and learning into the community through various programmes that are currently being develped in partnership with the Platfonteiners sponsors and Hilltop.
